As a certified Childbirth Educator and birth doula, and a mama to 4 babies, two who were born in the hospital O.R. via C Section and two who were born in the beautiful comfort of my living room, I KNOW that your birth experience is everything. One of the biggest factors to your childbirth EXPERIENCE, is your childbirth EDUCATION. I think mamas should hire a birth doula when they can (spoiler alert, I’ve never had one) but personally I would argue that good, quality childbirth education is equally (if not more!) important! (Or if you can afford both, that’s the best case scenario) You cannot go into the biggest, most important day of your life with zero preparation. That is a recipe for disaster.
